Summary : After more than two weeks drinking Evolv here is what I know
Nov 05 09 : Product just got here via UPS
Nov 06 09 : Its a chilly morning, some would even call it Cold www.weather.com said 50 Deg at 0700 but I have to get out and ride today at least the same distance as yesterday 11 miles. Today I'll drink some Evolv and see how I feel on the ride and after the ride. I got to the trail and on my bike by 7.40 am the time to the turn around point was 8:03 am and back to the car 08:23 am
My general feeling about the ride was great it was short but I enjoyed it, I felt strong and my breathing was good also. I do remember thinking that my leg muscles do not burn as much on this ride or after, even with the extra push on the small rolling hills and I did better my overall time by 3 min from yesterdays ride of the same distance.
Nov 07 09 : What a day - its the best time of the year in Florida, however it was very windy maybe 10-20 miles per hour coming from everywhere or so it seemed. I reminds me of EL Tour de Tucson 2000 that was a windy century. Today we rode from my place in Dunnellon to the trail then to Floral City and return total ride 56 miles. Jordon and both drank our Evolv just before starting the ride at 10:40 it was a nice day so we were riding at a nice pace just to enjoy the day, the ride and see what Evolv has to offer. Ok here are my results today -
1. Breathing really good only at the end did I feel I was breathing heavy. ( because we started so late we were out there past 2:30pm which is normally the time I take my Blood Pressure meds)
2.Leg muscles for the must part I did not feel any burn unless I was riding up a short hill for the most part they felt good. I felt the legs recovered a lot quicker after a short burst of stronger peddling.
3. After a ride of this distance I normally feel drained and need a nap, I glad to say I did not feel I needed one today I might have enjoyed one but, did not need one. So the recovery was great.
Nov 08 09 : Another amazing day in Florida the plan today was to ride from mile 1 on the trail to Hernando Rd just a short 11 miles and return maybe adding an other mile by going to the Citrus County park area. A short relaxed recover ride was all I wanted for today, however it was so windy, wind from the ENE at 15 mph gusting to 23 mps) it was a replay of yesterday's ride but shorter. I drank my Evolv on the way to trail and started the ride, I'm really not sure what to report I was hurting a little from yesterday and it seemed the wind was always a head wind or a beat a crosswind never a tail wind but my breathing was controlled and I felt good due in part to the weather in the 70's and Sunny but I do feel the product did help me today to make this a more enjoyable ride.
Nov 09 09 : Rest Day - No Cycling
Nov 10 09: Had a hard time getting out of bed today but I did I did not drink my Evolv this morning I want to see if I felt the difference on this short ride 12 miles - It was a cool morning in the 70s no rain etc. the beginning was about the same I did notice that my legs did hurt a little but that normal in the morning after a few miles this weekend, at the half way point I was OK but on the way back I felt the burn a lot more than in the past few day - breathing was Ok I was little beat but have to go to work not time for a nap this morning anyway.
Nov 11 09 : It rained this morning so was not able to ride
Nov 12 09 : It rained this morning so was not able to ride
Nov 13 09 :Friday the 13th so I rode 13 miles It was cold 50-52 deg but after a few miles I was ok I dressed warmly so it was OK.
Nov 14 09 : Long ride day The plan was to start around 10 am I was waiting for a call from a customer Day Job however I still got up early 0700 after doing a few things on the computer I started to get ready to get Jordon from Moms house it was now 0900 I tried to start the car the battery was dead, I found out the cables were full of stuff so the battery did not charge I cleaned them up but still no juice. I a few words to myself I call AAA for a jump it took them almost an hour for them to get here and only to get me started.
By time we got back to my house to get the bikes it was 1200N and an other half hours would pass before we started the ride Normally its not a good thing to start this late but this time of years its fine.
The ride was good at a total of 50 miles - Results were much like last week see above Nov 07 09
Nov 15.09 : To make my goal to ride at least 100 miles per week I had to ride 25-30 miles today so it was a great day so I rode 32 miles I drunk my Evolv just before starting the ride. Just like every other ride I've done after drinking Evolv its a better ride in a lot of ways.
